Glycophos is an organic source: sodium glycerophosphate in 20ml (1 mmole/ml) plastic vial so no risk for precipitation with calcium for addition to parenteral nutrition infusion fluids

 

Glycophos provides adequate amounts of phosphates especially for patients with increased needs:

  • Suitable for adult and pediatric patients
  • Can achieve the ESPGHAN recommended dose of phosphate
  • Compatible with a wide range of PN admixtures

Glycophos also adds a whole margin of safety to your clinical nutrition therapy:
  • It is an organic, highly soluble, fully bioavailable source of phosphate
  • Stable in the presence of calcium way above the clinical requirements

1ml contains :
Phosphate = 1.0 mmol
Sodium = 2.0 mmol

​Indicated in adult patients as a supplement in intravenous nutrition to meet the requirement of phosphate

Guideline recommendations for daily phosphorus intake:
 

  • Preterm infants (1st day of life) - 1-2 mmol/kg
  • Preterm infants (growing) - 1.6-3.5 mmol/kg
  • 0-6 months - 0.7-1.3 mmol/kg
  • 7-12 months - 0.5 mmol/kg
  • 1-18 years - 0.2-0.7 mmol/kg
  • Adults - 0.3-0.6 mmol/kg
