Empowering Women: How Tanya and Bela lead Breast Cancer Awareness through the Women’s VOICE EIG

Our Women’s VOICE Employee Impact Group (EIG), based in the U.S., is dedicated to creating a culture of support, inclusion, and empowerment for women and allies at Fresenius Kabi. Through mentorship programs, leadership development, and health-focused initiatives, this group has become a driving force within the company’s U.S. operations. Among other things, raising awareness about breast cancer is a cause close to the members' hearts.

Each October, the Women’s VOICE EIG leads a comprehensive campaign focused on breast cancer awareness, encouraging early detection and prevention. Breast cancer affects one in eight women in the U.S., making it a critical health issue that aligns with the group’s mission.

Tanya Tyska, who co-chairs the group and leads Internal Communications for Region U.S., brings a personal connection to this cause. As a breast cancer survivor, Tanya emphasizes: "Early detection saved my life. Following a routine mammogram, I was diagnosed early, and now I’m living a healthy, active life. This experience has motivated me to encourage other women to prioritize their health."

Her co-chair, Bela Bhandari, a Marketing Leader for U.S. Pharmaceuticals, adds: "Our Women’s VOICE EIG is all about creating an inclusive space for women to thrive, both professionally and personally. With over 250 members, the Women’s VOICE EIG is not just a community but a platform for real change – helping women and allies advance their careers while raising awareness about important health issues. The group continues to play a vital role in supporting Fresenius #CommittedToLife promise in the U.S.
