On January 1, 2025, new UK-wide arrangements for the supply of medicines came into effect as set out in the Windsor Framework agreement. One of the impacts from the Windsor Framework is that all medicines placed on the UK market must be labelled “UK Only” which had impact for products that were jointly labelled between UK and Ireland. Fresenius Kabi has completed a huge project in order to be ready for the implementation date without impact to the Irish market and we can say that we have successfully implemented this change on all our licensed medicinal products.
Customers may still be supplied packs that do not contain “UK Only” that were manufactured and released to Ireland prior to the implementation date. All packs that were manufactured and released from 1st January 2025 will be labelled as joint with another European country or in most circumstances labelled for the Irish market only.
