With a Latte in Hand: Tania Dmytrasz on Teamwork and Dedication
Want to know more about Tania?
We asked her a few questions:
Can you describe a typical workday for you?
It starts with catching up with my colleagues when I arrive at the office. We usually chat about the weekend before I dive into my emails. A big part of my role involves conference planning – we organize numerous conferences each year, so there’s always a lot going on.
What is your favorite part about your job?
I love collaborating with my team. We have a really good team here, and the marketing team is pretty close. That’s the best part of the day – working together with them.
How many people are in your team?
There are about 15 of us.
Where is your office located, and where do you live?
Our office is in Toronto, but I live in Burlington, which is about 45 minutes away. I have to drive into the office, but I work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
When did you start working at Fresenius Kabi, and what did you do before?
I started in May 2022. Before that, I was a pharmaceutical sales representative. I used to drive to different pharmacies and hospitals.
Why do you think working at Fresenius Kabi is special?
It’s a special place because I believe in the medications we provide for patients. I also love that we support home care. It’s rewarding to feel good about where you work and what you contribute to.
How do you embody the Committed to Life promise?
I go the extra mile. For example, when we have conferences or trade shows, even if I’m not attending, I’m online supporting my colleagues who are there. Right now, for instance, we have a team in another province working on implementation, and I’ve been helping them every day by providing sales leads and supplies remotely.
Do you have any special hobbies you’d like to mention?
I love selling things on Facebook Marketplace and picking up items that others might discard. I clean them up and sell them. My colleagues always joke about this hobby – they’ll say they don’t want to see office items popping up online!
Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
In the Toronto area, there’s a large Ukrainian community, and I’m Ukrainian. People are often surprised when they find out I was born here but speak the language fluently. I went to a specialized school where I learned English, French, and Ukrainian, so I was able to keep my language skills strong.
