JUMPstart Renal Nutrition Therapy Program: Application phase now open
Elevating research in in renal nutrition therapy
The application phase of the new wave of the JUMPstart Renal Nutrition Therapy Program is now open. This initiative is a significant step towards enhancing the quality of life for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) worldwide. The program offers a remarkable opportunity for physicians, scientists, and healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing in renal nutrition therapy.
What is in for the successful applicants in 2024? Five renowned experts in renal nutrition therapy and research will guide the 20 participants through the program: Prof. Lim Soo Kun (Malaysia), Prof. Giorgina Piccoli (France), Prof. Liliana Garneata (Romania), Prof. Jie Dong (China) and Prof. Juan-Jesus Carrero (Sweden). The virtual and onsite classes include general insights into study design, documentation, data management and data evaluation, as well as specific content like nutritional requirements for CKD patients. This will support the healthcare professionals in submitting their detailed research proposals which will be evaluated by the expert scientific committee. The selected project, to be announced in 2025, will receive a grant of up to €100,000 to conduct the proposed clinical study.
