Celebrating Women’s History Month
Fresenius Kabi’s Women’s VOICE Employee Impact Group, one of the organization’s six EIGs, is dedicated to elevating the voices and contributions of women within the organization. The Women’s VOICE fosters real conversations about life and career challenges, helping women and allies develop leadership skills, gain career insights, and promotes a positive and inclusive culture for everyone.
In honor of Women’s History Month, Women’s VOICE hosted an inspiring event featuring April Hansen, MSN, RN. April, a renowned nurse leader and advocate, delivered an energizing presentation centered around purposeful living and self-investment. “To succeed externally, we must first grow internally,” she shared, reinforcing the importance of continuous self-development. Her insights encouraged attendees to reclaim their time for what truly matters and to prioritize well-being in both their professional and personal lives. She also emphasized the power of resilience, stating, “People with a strong sense of self-agency are not only more resilient, but also more likely to achieve their goals and maintain better mental health.”
Bela Bhandari, VP of Pharmaceutical Marketing and Women’s VOICE Co-Chair, opened the event by emphasizing that participation itself was a valuable investment in personal growth, well-being, and professional networks.
Tanya Tyska, Senior Director of Internal Communications and Women’s VOICE Co-Chair, reflected on the company’s broader mission: “As a company, our promise is Committed to Life, and to help people live their best lives. While that certainly applies to the products and therapies we provide, it is so much more than that. It applies to how we work, to how we lead, and to how we live.”
The event also featured an interactive activity where employees were invited to write personal messages on notecards to honor individuals who have positively influenced their personal or professional journeys. These heartfelt messages served as a meaningful tribute to those who contribute to making Fresenius Kabi a stronger workplace.
Through engaging discussions and thoughtful reflection, the Women’s VOICE EIG breakfast event reinforced the importance of purpose, values, and self-agency—key themes that continue to inspire and empower employees across the organization.
