Celebrating Apprentices and the Future of Our Workforce

We are proud to support National Apprenticeship Week 2025, a week dedicated to recognising the incredible value apprentices bring to businesses and the wider economy.

This week highlights the opportunities apprenticeships provide for individuals to gain hands-on experience, develop valuable skills, and build rewarding careers.

Here, at Fresenius Kabi we are committed to investing in our people and the next generation of professionals. Apprenticeships are a key part to our people strategy, allowing us to nuture existing and future talent, foster innovation and contribute to the growth of our industry. We have seen firsthand how apprenticeships bring enthusiam, new perspectives and a willingness to learn that benefits both their own career development and the company's success.

Apprenticeships at Fresenius Kabi

As of February 2025, we have 22 live apprenticeships across various departments. There's a perception that apprenticeships are limited to traditional trades like plumbing, electrical work, or construction. However, while apprenticeships are common in trades, they are also available in diverse fields such as healthcare, technology, finance, engineering, and creative industries.

At Fresenius Kabi, we have apprenticeships in many business departments. These apprenticeships include Engineering, Sales, Nursing, Aseptics, Pharmacy, Warehouse, Human Resources, and Customer Services.

All apprentices are supported by their manager, training supplier, mentor and tutor and our Learning and Development team at Fresenius Kabi.

Apprenticeships Are for Everyone

There is a common misconception that apprenticeships are only for school leavers or young individuals starting their careers - but this isn't the case, especially at Fresenius Kabi. We encourage anyone to start an apprenticeship, regardless of age or career stage. Apprenticeships are open to people of all ages, including mid-career professionals seeking a career change or looking to upskill in their current role. Many programs are designed to accommodate adults who bring valuable life and work experience to their apprenticeships, making them a great option for those looking to take their careers in a new direction.
